Best Ford Ecosport Tires

When it’s time to replace those factory tires there’s no shortage of options. In fact, we counted over 80 different tire choices. So to help you cut through the many mediocre mistakes we’ve compiled a list of the very best Ford EcoSport tires based on performance, ride quality, tire life and price.

  • S 205/60/16

  • Titanium 205/50/17

Best Tire for Ford EcoSport

Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring

We don’t often recommend a Cooper tire as the best tire to buy. Just don’t take that the wrong way.

Cooper has really reinvented itself over the past few decades and offers some of the best tires on the market, it’s just that they always seem to get edged out by a Michelin or Continental due to some particular reason. But here the Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring really delivers the best combination of performance and comfort, with tread life and price.

Costing a solid 10-15 percent less than many of the top-tier tires on this list, the CS5 matches them with a 70,000 mile tread life warranty. In terms of refinement it’s both incredibly quiet and comfortable. And when it comes to performance, summer grip is excellent, both in terms of handling and braking, while wet weather grip is some of the best in class.

Add all this together and you have an unbeatable package.

Best Tire for Ford EcoSport (alternative)

Continental Control Contact Tour AS Plus

Coming second to the Cooper above is hardly a fault. The Continental Control Contact Tour AS Plus offers many of the great traits of that tire. It costs marginally more and offers grip that third party testing has shown to only be slightly less impressive. Wrap that up in an identical 70,000 mile warranty and there’s really no going wrong with this tire either.

Best Budget Tire for Ford Ecosport

Falken Sincera SN250 AS

It might not wow you in any one area, but the Falken Sincera SN250 AS offers a compelling suite of attributes at an even more compelling price point. Dry weather grip is decent, though not exactly fantastic. This is due in part to a harder overall tread compound which, we’re happy to report, wears well over time and comes with a ver impressive 75,000 mile warranty. That’s better than even our top picks on this list.

Wet grip is decent and mild winter performance is passable. The tires are a touch louder than some of the top options, but overall make for an excellent value.

Longest Lasting Tire for Ford Ecosport

Goodyear Assurance Max Life

It’s hard to talk about the longest lasting tire for any vehicle without mentioning the Goodyear Assurance Max Life. With an 85,000 mile warranty it stretches the boundaries of tire life. Plus, it does so with decent wet and dry grip, solid braking performance and an overall refined ride. It costs a small premium more than our top recommendations, but in many respects you get what you pay for here.

We should also point out that, unusually, there’s another tire worth noting here. The Yokohama Avid Ascend LX also comes with an 85,000 mile warranty and costs even less.

Cheapest Tire for Ford Ecosport

Westlake SA07 Sport

So you like saving money? Well, look no further than the Westlake SA07 Sport. This discount tire comes at a seriously discounted price costing half of the other models on this list.

This aggressive tire delivers impressive performance in the dry. Unfortunately despite the siping and lateral grooves, wet performance trails off quickly and winter grip is poor.

It does come with a 45,000 mile warranty.

Best Winter Tire for Ford Ecosport

General Altimax Arctic 12

Make sure your crossover grips winter like an SUV with the General Altimax Arctic 12. These tires offer an extra wide center tread section for great stability on snow-covered roads, as well as impressive acceleration and stopping power. And if the tire’s inherent characteristics aren’t enough for you, its studdable too!

Made from a silica-infused compound that refuses to harden when the temperature drops, this tire also offers impressive grip on frozen roads, regardless of if they are clear or icy.

And on top of all this, it’s one of the more affordable winter tire options available.

Tire Buying FAQ

Where can I find the best price on tires?

There is no one answer to this question unfortunately. Sites like Tire Rack and Discount tire offer deals all the time on specific brands. You can also find deals on Amazon though they are much harder to find and often only apply to a specific size or group of sizes. Visit our Tire Deals page for more info.

When is the best time to buy tires?

It’s common that many shoppers buy tires once its already too late. At that point you don’t have a lot of choice and can often over-pay. If you’re planning ahead, generally, retailers offer significant tire deals around major holiday weekends (especially in the summer), as well as Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

How much is Shipping?

Shipping is often included when you purchase tires online. Many retailers offer free shipping if you get your tires shipped to an installer that they recommend. Even if you ship to your home, Tire Rack offers free shipping on purchases over $50. And if you’re buying new tires, that won’t be hard.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping can take just a few days, or over a week in the worst cases. Often it depends on where you live. anyone in a larger urban center or living closer to a tire distribution center can get them quite quickly.

Does anyone offer mobile tire installation?

Depending on where you live, there may be numerous local mobile tire installers available. If you don’t want to deal with the hassle of tracking one down, TireRack offers its own service. You don’t even have to purchase tires from TireRack to use it.

While it’s more expensive than bringing your tires to the shop, it’s also a lot more convenient. Prices start at $25 per tire.

How much does it cost to install a tire?

Generally you’ll pay between $25 and $50 per tire for installation services. This includes mounting and balancing, while using the latest tools so your rims don’t get scuffed or scraped.

Do I need to replace the tire pressure monitoring system when I change tires?

It’s not necessary to replace TMPS sensors when you change tires, but you may want to consider it. The units can fail over time due to damage or corrosion. Also, most units contain a battery and as a sealed unit, they must be replaced when the battery wears down. While most tire installers will handle sourcing these parts for you, you can also buy your own here.

Do online tire retailers offer rebates?

Absolutely! In fact, rebates are offered by most brands (even premium ones). Often these incentives are offered with other deals including up-front discounts and credit card offers.
