Best Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Tires

A budget offering from a budget brand, Mitsubishi Outlander Sport owners are generally aware of what they’re getting into, favoring affordable transportation over frills. To that end we’ve assembled a list of the best tires for this tiny crossover, as well as some more affordable options for shrewd shoppers.

Best Tire for Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

There’s no shortage of great tires for the Outlander Sport. In fact, there’s a lot of competition for top honors, with numerous options from top brands all being smart picks.

Topping our list is the Continental Cross Contact LX 25 with its 70,000 mile warranty (one of the best available) and impressive performance. It delivers sporty handling, a sophisticated ride and impressive grip in cold and wintry conditions. It’s pricer than many others on this list, but it’s worth it.

Offering even better driving dynamics, but with a slightly lower overall tread life (65,000 miles) is the Goodyear Assurance AS. The Yokohama YK740 GTX offers essentially the same level of performance and all-season capability but costs about $10 per tire more and has a slightly lower 60,000 mile warranty. The difference isn’t much, so we’d only recommend the Yokos if you can get a deal on them.

If maximum tread life is what you’re after, the aptly-named Goodyear Assurance Max Life is good for 85,000 miles and is quite a bargain. It’s not as engaging to drive as the others on this list, but for the price and that warranty it’s a more than fair trade off.

Sliding a bit further down the scale is the Kumho Crugen HP71 which is an admirable all-round performer with a 65,000 mile warranty and a very affordable price point. It’s really not in the same league as these other tires, but isn’t priced like it either.

Finally we have the Michelin CrossClimate 2. It’s expensive and only comes with a 60,000 mile warranty, however, it is certified for true winter driving, which is a huge plus.
