Who Makes Maxxis Tires

An industry leader in mountain biking tires, Maxxis was founded in 1967 in Taiwan (China).

The brand set up operations in the United States in 1985, originally with a tire distribution facility outside Atlanta. It then expanded to build a US corporate headquarters in 1987 in Suwanee, Georgia. The company has grown steadily in North America and in 2002 it doubled its US office space.

Currently the brand operates in 170 countries around the world and employs over 30,000 people. So who makes Maxxis tires? Well, Maxxis tires are produced by parent company Cheng Shin Rubber Industry Co., the ninth largest tire manufacturer in the world with revenues of almost $4 billion.

Maxxis is well-known in the off-road industry as well, with heavy sponsorship of racers in the SCORE International series as well as the Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) series. Maxxis is also heavily involved in rock crawling competitions.

Currently Maxxis sells 13 different passenger tires including the Bravo series, as well as the Razr, Buckshot and Bighorn tires, plus the Escapade CUV tire. Maxxis even sells the Marauder MA-S1 and Marauder II MA-S2 high-performance street tires for trucks.

Maxxis also offers three different extreme off-road tires designs for off-road use only: the Trepador M8060, the Trepador Radial M8060 and the Creepy Crawler M8090.

When it comes to warranty coverage, Maxxis backs many of the Bravo truck tires with 40, 50 and even 60,000 mile (Bravo HT-770) limited treadwear warranties.

Maxxis also sells an extensive lineup of ATV and UTV tires.
