FEATURES

Visually, the Patagonia A/T is an obvious all-terrain tire due to it’s large tread blocks. Rather than have numerous smaller blocks, these larger interlocking ones provide natural stability, while still delivering plenty of grip. As a bonus, this also makes the tires more stable at speed on-road – something some all-terrain tires have issues with.

A unique feature can be found between each tread with what Milestar calls “ribbed tie bars”. These little bars also work to hold the separate tread sections together – another feature that contributes to the Patagonia’s stable highway drive.

On the side of the tread you’ll notice the end of the tread (towards the sidewall) has different angles cut into, alternating along the tire. This variety of tread helps the tire grip mud and dirt.

While this complaint is purely aesthetic, it’s foolish to think off-road tire buyers don’t care about looks, so we feel it’s important to point out that the apart from this little detail, the tire’s sidewall is pretty dull.

It’s important to note that while the Patagonia A/T is an all-terrain tire, unlike some of its competitors, it’s not rated as a true winter tire. If you do live in a colder climate, this is a big drawback. But if you don’t, then it’s irrelevant. (And why pay for a feature you’d never use?)

Unlike some All-Terrain tires, the Milestar Patagonia A/T comes with a limited treadwear warranty and at 50,000 miles it’s a solid guarantee.

Available in 15- to 18-inch and several 20-inch sizes, popular sizes include LT235/85R16, LT245/75R16, LT265/75R16, LT285/75R16, LT28/70R17 and LT275/70R18.

How Long Does the Milestar Patagonia AT Last?

With a factory tread life warranty of 50,000 miles, expect to get roughly this many miles out of a set, provided you follow proper tire rotation procedures and keep your tires properly inflated. The amount of hard off-road use you do will also significantly impact tread life.

Is the Milestar Patagonia AT Good in Snow?

With it’s natural off-road grip, the Patagonia AT offers some grip in snow and will out-perform most all-season tires. However, the tread compound does freeze up in colder temperatures and winter grip then suffers. Unlike an increasing number of all-terrain tires, this one is not three-peak mountain snowflake certified.

What Ply is the Milestar Patagonia AT?

The Patagonia AT comes with a 2-ply sidewall. In terms of load range, some versions are available as Load Range E / 10-ply.
