Best Tire for Mazda CX-90
Bridgestone Alenza AS Ultra
For some reason not a lot of Bridgestone tires make the top of our lists, but they often come close. Here, based on what’s available in the market, it’s an easy winner.
It delivers in all areas to a very high standard.
As a touring all-season tire build specifically for crossovers it offers superior comfort and low road noise. And for a touring tire, performance is on the sportier side. Plus, we weather traction is quite high. At the same time, the tire manages a UTQG rating of 800 and a tread life warranty of 80,000 miles.
As a result, it’s not just an overall excellent performer for the luxurious CX-90 and its engaging handling, it will continue to perform for years and years.
Best Budget Tire for Mazda CX-90
Falken Ziex CT60A A/S
Custom made for modern crossovers, this tire delivers solid basics without a lot of extras. And you save a bundle. As with most modern tires it uses a silica-infused tread to deliver solid wet performance while maintaining decent dry grip and long tread life. Sporty-handling Mazdas might be one of the few crossovers more capable than this tire, but we still suspect most drivers won’t ever know the difference, or care. Tread life should land right around 65,000 miles, which is lower than the top-tier tires on offer, but not bad at all.
And you’ll save at least $100 per tire.
Best High Performance Tire for Mazda CX-90
Michelin Pilot Sport 4 All Season
If you’re looking to maximize performance and enjoyment of your CX-90 but still retain solid year round performance, Michelin is certainly the way to go. The Pilot Sport 4 All Season delivers an impressive combo. Compared to its predecessor, the Pilot Sport AS 3+, this tire offers 4% better braking on dry roads, 5% better braking in the wet and a 10% improvement in snow. We’ll add that true snow performance still isn’t exceptional and so we’d recommend if you liv somewhere cold or with real snow, you consider a set of winter tires as well.
These tires offer tremendous dry grip and impressive wet traction, though they will wear faster than a conventional all-season and should last around 45,000 miles. If they needed any further endorsement, these are factory equipped tires on several Tesla and Porsche models!

Michelin X-Ice Snow
If you’ve tired older Michelin X-Ice tires and weren’t impressed, we encourage you to give these a try. While the original was fantastic on actual ice, it struggled to compete with the industry best when it came to snow traction. Those issues have now been solved.
To achieve that ice traction, the tire uses Michelin’s FleX-Ice 2.0 compound that creates added friction with the ground via tiny dimples that provide more biting edges. These edges continue to form as the tire wears to maintain high levels of traction.
As for snow grip, the tire uses more sipes and varied sipes, while also utilizing a v-shaped thread pattern. This not only allows for better evacuation of slush, but on snow packed roads it offers better stability.
