Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Plus Review

A big part of the reason for the tire’s impressive tread life is a new polymer technology that Bridgestone makes use of for the tread. With a UTQG treadwear rating of 800 this is a tire built to last mile after mile and year after year. That same rubber compound is made up of 5 percent recycles rubber, helping reducing pollution by cutting overall CO2 emissions for the tire.

Due to the tire’s long life, Bridgestone designed it with a sidewall that resists fading. This feature was also added in to make the tire better suited for luxury SUVs and high-end crossovers.

That said, the unique tread pattern and compound are designed for wet and dry on-road performance to suit the needs of crossovers.

What is the difference between Bridgestone Dueler HL Alenza and Alenza Plus?

The Bridgestone Dueler HL Alenza Plus isn’t just a better version of the Alenza, it’s a next-generation tire. While the Alenza has long offered a luxurious ride with long life for premium utility vehicles, the technology in the tire dates back to 2004 and is showing signs of age.

With the Alenza Plus Brigestone has introduced a new tread compound that the company claims improves fuel economy by reducing rolling resistance by 10 percent. And this is all done without compromising grip in any respect. But perhaps more important to most drivers is in increase in tread life, with the new Alenza Plus getting a factory warranty of 80,000 miles.
