Continental Pro Contact Review

One of the most versatile tires on the market, the Continental Pro Contact is an all-purpose all-season tire designed to deliver everything to everyone. And it does a decent job of it too.

PROS

  • Solid well-rounded offering
  • Wet weather grip
  • Price
  • Warranty

CONS

  • Could use more dry grip
  • Not the prettiest tread design
  • Tread life varies significantly depending on the specific tire

It’s not the the “best” tire out there and it’s certainly not the most attractive (yes, we’re tire snobs) but the ContiProContact does an impressive job of ticking all the boxes it needs to.

The four-channel design with plenty of lateral slots in the tread blocks mans it does an excellent job of evacuating water and wet-weather grip is actually one of this tire’s stand out features.

A more conventional all-season, it’s not designed for high performance driving (and thankfully its not priced that way either) so as a result dry grip is decent, but not what we’d call engaging. This is a bit surprising as the exterior tread design is actually one single unit rather than individual blocks. Still, we think its more than capable for the needs of most drivers and most machines.

Focusing more on livability, the tread pattern is designed to limit road noise while also reducing rolling resistance to help your vehicle’s fuel economy.

Priced quite affordably, we’d caution that the tread life warranty ranges widely depending on the speed rating, so that can certainly impact how much value this tire brings.

Are Continental Pro Contact Tires Good?

As a result of all these features and the above-average performance the ContiProContact shows in almost every area, it’s no surprise that this tire is a top seller. Rated a 4.4 out of 5 by consumers at Discount Tire its not amazingly impressive in any one area but instead offers a balance of so many features at a reasonable price. With 400 reviews from real consumers, it’s recommended by 87.7 percent of them.

Continental Pro Contact Price

Pricing ranges wildly for the Continental Pro Contact with smaller sizes starting at just $75 per tire while the largest 19-inch fitments costing above $300 per tire.

Continental Pro Contact Warranty
