Goodyear Wrangler Fortitude HT Review
One of the many options in Goodyear’s Wrangler lineup of truck tires, the Fortitude HT is an all-season all-terrain tire at a premium price, but is it worth it?
PROS
- Quiet
- Relatively long lasting
CONS
- Expensive
- Not really a great off-road tire
- Don’t confuse it with the standard Fortitude HT
Goodyear Fortitude HT Features
An all-terrain, all-season tire, the Fortitude HT is a top level tire designed, really, for on-road use – despite it’s off-road look and name. The tread itself is built to be quiet on the highway and long lasting.
On-road handling is decent, though this tire really is designed more for a sophisticated, comfortable and quiet ride.
With some decent off-road grip on gravel and dirt roads, don’t look to take this tire for any serious off-roading or overlanding adventures.
Solid on many fronts, perhaps it’s biggest drawback is just that it is so expensive. Regardless of that fact, the vast majority of owners reporting being incredibly satisfied with this tire.
Those in search of better off-road tire and who want to stay within the Goodyear brand should opt for the Wrangler TrailRunner AT.
TAKE NOTE
Goodyear offers both the Fortitude HT and the Fortitude HT (Light Truck) tires. While obviously similar in several respects, it’s important to note what you’re getting. The Light Truck version is, obviously, designed only for five select pickup truck sizes. It also doesn’t come with the same treadwear warranty as the standard HT. In fact, the HT Light Truck version comes with just a 50,000 mile warranty compared to the 65,000 mile warranty of the conventional version.
What Vehicles Will The Goodyear Fortitude HT Fit on?

Goodyear Wrangler Fortitude HT Warranty
The Wangler HT comes with a 65,000 mile tread life warranty for standard p-metric versions, while LT versions some with a 50,000 mile warranty.

Is the Goodyear Wrangler Fortitude HT good in snow?
We’d rate this tire as just above average for its cold weather and snow capability. As highway terrain tire it has some mild all-terrain capabilities which gives it a slight edge in grip on snow. Ultimately, however, the tread compound isn’t designed for frigid temperatures and will loose some grip when the mercury drops. These tires are not rated for extreme winter use and don’t featured the three-peak mountain snowflake logo on their sidewall.
