Other highlights include more second row space than rivals. It’s also the only convertible pickup truck you can buy!

Best All-Terrain Tire for Jeep Gladiator

BFGoodrich All Terrain TA KO2

We’ll say it and we’ll say it again, there’s really no topping the BFGoodrich All Terrain TA KO2. This tire sets the bar when it comes to off-road performance and durability. The off-road grip is just next-level and the shoulder design of the tires gives extra traction in loose surfaces and on rocks, and works particularly well when aired down.

Rather than go with a 3-ply sidewall and impact some of the on-road driving comfort of the tire, BFG invented its CoreGard Technology (taken from its race-wining Baja T/A KR2) that makes the sidewalls 20% tougher, helping prevent cuts and slashes out on the trail.

On top of all this its quite good on-road with a solid inner-tire tread mesh that gives stability and grip on the road, plus a 50,000 mile tread life warranty. That’s a bit less than some competitors, but BFG knows that KO2 owners will run these tires hard. So if you don’t abuse them, expect to get even more miles.

And finally, the tire is now certified for true winter use as well, boasting the three-peak mountain snowflake logo on the sidewall.

Best All-Terrain Tire for Jeep Gladiator (alternative)

Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S

cooper discoverer at3 4s review

It’s not quite at the same level of grip as the BFGs, but the Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S is a fantastic all-terrain tire with a few unique benefits that make it an attractive offering.

The five-row design allows for a more responsive on-road tire, with excellent water evacuation capability and wet weather performance. The zig-zag sipes on the tire help prevent rocks from sticking to the tread, which can prematurely wear tires.

This same feature allows the tire to grip the snow excellently and we find it’s cold weather and snow capability one of the very best amongst all-terrain tires. Needless to say, it’s certified for true winter use and has the three-peak mountain snowflake logo on its sidewall.

But perhaps the real difference-maker is the warranty, with a 65,000 mile tread life warranty making the slight lack in off-road performance compared to the BFGs a very reasonable trade-off.

Best Highway Terrain Tire

Continental Terrain Contact HT

If you’re spending more miles on the highway in your Jeep and far fewer on the trails, a set of all-terrain tires might not be the best choice for you. Instead, Highway Terrain tires are likely the best option and among those, the Continental Terrain Contact H/T.

Combining the best features of an all-season wth some light off-road capability, these tires will deliver a quieter and longer lasting ride with better on-road driving dynamics and superior grip in wet weather.

As for that longer lasting ride, Continental guarantees them for 70,000 miles.

Plus, as an added level of security, these tires come with Conti’s Total Confidence Plan that includes a one year road hazard warranty (including free replacement for tires damaged as a result of things like nails or potholes) as well as a year of free roadside assistance to either change flat tire or tow you up to 150 miles.

Replacement Tire for Jeep Gladiator

Falken Wildpeak AT3W

cheapest off-road tires

Sometimes the tires an automaker puts on its vehicles from the factory are fantastic. And sometimes they’re so full of compromises that we want to swap them off right away. Now we’re not going to say Jeep picked the absolute best tires for the Gladiator when they went with the Falken Wildpeak AT3W (for most trim levels) but they did a pretty fine job.

These are impressive all-terrain tires with responsive and quiet on-road driving dynamics. They’re even reasonably sporty on-road and boast excellent grip under braking.

Plus, they come with a 55,000 mile tread life warranty.

They don’t really come at much of a discount compared to other all-terrain tires, so depending on current offers (there’s always some deals on tires) these could be your best option.

Cheapest Tires for Jeep Gladiator

Pathfinder AT

If you’re looking for some go-anywhere tires for your Jeep that won’t cost you a bundle then look no further than the Pathfinder AT. This budget all-terrain tire is surprisingly competent and durable. It’s a touch louder than some of the premium offerings and on-road driving dynamics aren’t as refined as those rivals either.

You’ve probably never heard of Pathfinder Tires and that’s because they’re actually the “house brand” of Discount Tire.

CooperWith a 55,000 mile tread life warranty, these are surprisingly long lasting and for the price of just round $150 a tire, they make for a compelling offer.

Best Mud Tire for Jeep Gladiator

BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain KM TA3

It’s not just one of the most extremely capable mud tires on the market, it might just be the most durable too. Every element of this tire is designed for grip in extreme situations. And while it’s large tread blocks and significant void spaces make it excellent at churning through mud and loose earth, it’s far more capable than that.

While MT tires are often referred to as Mud-Terrain tires, they are more accurately Maximum Traction tires. And here the KM3 delivers with a design and compound that’s also ideal for rock-crawling.

The ultra aggressive sidewall gives grip in numerous situations and can even gives an extra edge in deep mud when the tire is deeper than the tread base. This extra layer of physical exterior protect prevents against cuts and slashes from sharp rocks out on the trail, while the 3-ply internal structure of the tire ensures that even if a cut does get past the external rubber, it won’t (or shouldn’t) get past this extra layer.

The ride is a little stiff and the noise level is a bit loud, but both are expected in an MT tire. If you don’t believe us that this is the best MT tire, red the user reviews anywhere online. Real owners love this tire!

Best Jeep Gladiator Winter Tire

Cooper Discoverer Snow Claw

There are an increasing number of all-terrain tire options now with true winter capability. But the Cooper Discoverer Snow Claw takes a different approach. In many ways it takes the opposite approach, starting with a winter tire and giving it all-terrain capability.

A dedicated winter tire, it makes use of a tread compound that resists freezing. This really helps give the tire excellent traction on frozen clear roads and icy roads too. The tread pattern is heavily siped to help snow stick to the tread blocks, using the snow as a traction surface against the snow on the ground.

A mostly connected center tread section and combined tread blocks gives the tire impressive on-road driving dynamics.

Plus, as a Discoverer tire, it’s purpose built for trucks and designed to stand up to heavier weights and plenty of abuse.
