Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 3 Review

Bridgestone’s next-generation all-terrain tire, the Dueler A/T Revo 3 delivers outstanding grip with improved wet weather and snow performance.

PROS

  • Improved snow and wet weather grip
  • Better milage guarantee
  • Extreme off-road grip
  • Surprisingly quiet ride

CONS

  • Could still use more winter grip
  • Some competitor tires offer slightly longer tread life

A premium offering in the all-terrain segment, the A/T Revo 3 delivers extreme levels of off-road grip, with massive tread lugs. The intertwined interior groupings of tread lugs offer both areas of significant void (allowing for plenty of grip) while also offering areas where the treads are closely knit together – allowing for a stable on-road ride.

Big benefits that come as a part of the Revo 3 compared to the Revo 2 include added snow and wet weather performance. This is the result of extensive siping on the tire, as well as well as large circumferential grooves next to the exterior treads, helping prevent hydroplaning in deep water on-road.

Yet another benefit of the Revo 3 over the Revo 2 is an improved milage guarantee, up 10,000 miles to a total of 60,000 miles for p-metric sizes. (LT sizes still have a 50,000 mile warranty).

Built for regular use on trucks, the tire’s structure is made up of two high-strength steel belts covered by a two-ply polyester casing. This makes sure it maintains its structure over time under hard use. This is particularly important in achieving that longer tread wear guarantee, as it’s often deformation of the tire that can cause premature wear. The tire’s structure also includes nylon reinforcement that further helps with durability while making it more stable at high speeds.

In terms of off-road grip, the alternating design lugs on the shoulder lugs help the tire bite into loose ground, and grip on firm rocky surfaces. Plus, the sidewall features additional griping features to help maximize traction in deep, loose dirt, rocks and more.

As a result, it also looks great!

While amazing off-road grip shouldn’t be overlooked in an all-terrain tire, it’s not all that surprising from a brand like this. Where’s Bridgestone’s real expertise comes through is in being able to deliver the amount of on-road comfort and quietness this tire also delivers. In other words, you get amazing off-road performance but don’t have to sacrifice anything when it comes to daily driving.

Priced on the higher end of the scale, as you might expect for a Bridgestone, when you consider the off-road grip, on-road manners and impressive tread life, this is one of our new top picks for all-terrain tires.

BRIDGESTONE DUELER A/T REVO 3 SNOW RATING

Offering improved grip in snow compared to the A/T Revo 2 the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 3’s increased sipes help in cold weather performance, while it’s all-terrain nature give it a natural advantage over, say, an all-season tire in the snow. However, it’s important to point out that as far as these features go, this is not a true winter-certified tire. Those tires come with the three-peak mountain snowflake logo stamped on the sidewall. That said, if you are looking for true use in serious winter climates, there are other winter rated all-terrain tires to choose from.
