Nitto Ridge Grappler Mileage Life

With positive reviews from customers it’s still not easy to find out just what the Nitto Ridge Grappler Mileage life is.

There’s no end of online comments from owners making it to 20,000 to 30,000 miles without complaints, but feedback drops off pretty steadily around there. It’s important to note that while Nitto does offer a standard warranty on these tires, they don’t warranty any milage claims. Compare that to the BFGoodrich K02 Tires, which have a mileage guarantee of 50,000 miles.

CLICK: BFG KO2 Lifespan

Built as a tire with off-road style and on-road capability, it’s heavily style-focused and fits into the category of a hybrid-terrain tire. A relatively new segment, it’s built more for style and on-road performance, designed to look tough but deliver a quiet ride. The Ridge Grappler is also available in a wise selection of fitments, for half-ton and heavy duty pickup trucks in plus-sizes too.

Nitto Ridge Grappler Mileage Life: WARRANTY

As mentioned, Nitto backs the tire with a standard warranty where they will replace the tire if there is found to be a defect in the workmanship or materials of the tire. This applies to tires that are less than 25% worn an are within 60 months from the original purchase date (so keep those receipts). If you do not have a receipt the manufacturing date for the tyre (which is printed on the sidewall) will be used. For tires beyond the 25% wear rating, Nitto will pro-rate the refund based on the amount of wear. Taxes and installation are extra.

OUR OPINION

For mostly on-road use, the Ridge Grappler should provide excellent tread life of 40,000 to 50,000 miles, although if you intend to use them off-road even more than occasionally, tread life should drop off from there.

A solid option, you get what you pay for and the Nitto Ridge Grappler is not cheap.

  1. I have 105k on my 295/60/20’s, but will be changing them in October most likely. Been a great tire! That’s gotta be a record! They’re just now reaching the indicators. That’s gotta be worthy of a discount on that $1500 I’m about to be spending on another set, just for being legendary🤷🏼‍♂️

  2. Great tire
I have 75,000 miles on the set and only rotated once since 2019
    I will get another set!!!!!!

  3. I just replaced mine at 82,000 miles. 2 of them were still in great condition, 2 on front were worn a little more!
3000 a month in mileage, 1000 of that is oilfield lease roads….

  4. I two years 25,000 miles out out mine got a giant bulge in the tread scared to buy the same tires again!

  5. 30,000 miles and mine are ready to be replaced I may try another brand. I did not go off-roading with these. The tires were driven primarily on roads and highways. They rode quiet, but wear is not acceptable.

  6. Do not recommend. Their warranty and customer service is a lie. Started out great and very impressed but will never buy Nitto again.

  7. 40,000 kms and they are shot, rotated every 10,000 kms as well. 75% highway, 25% gravel roads

Very very disappointed, wouldn’t recommend them to my Ex wife

    1. I have 50k on mine right now on a Tacoma that sees quite a bit of off-roading in addition to being a daily driver. They are 285/70/17 and just now to the wear indicators on both front and back. I plan on replacing them with the same- they have been wonderful.
