Who Makes Ironman Tires?

Who Makes Ironman Tires?

Finding out who makes a specific brand of tires and where they are manufactured isn’t always easy. Although in this case, answering the first part of that question is.

Ironman Tires is a sub-brand of Hercules Tire and Rubber Co. Hercules as a brand dates back to 1952 when several midwest tire dealers got together to manufacture their own tires as a brand.

What is less clear is where the tires are made. Headquartered in Findlay, Ohio, Hercules itself does manufacture tires there although it doesn’t specify if those are just Hercules brand tires, or some of its sub-brands.

Findlay is also the headquarters of Cooper Tires, which handles the manufacturing. Cooper also manufactures the tires for numerous of its sub-brands including Avon Tyres, Mastercraft Tires, Mickey Thompson, Roadmaster Tires, Dean Tires and StarFire Tires.

Cooper does have a significant US manufacturing presence with plants in four cities across three states, as well as two in Europe, one in Mexico, two in China and one in Vietnam.

Ironman offers a full line of tires with 24 unique offerings for passenger cars, light trucks, SUVs and crossovers, ranging from high-performance summer tires to off-road capable all-terrain and mud-terrain tires.

  1. Glad to see they’re manufactured in places other than China.
I do my best not to purchase anything made in China.
    Thanks for the info.
